Espace MicroCaps is glad to invite you to its second thematic panel, this time about investing in the mining sector, at the Bier Markt Montreal on Tuesday, April 18 at 4:30pm. Our events are the perfect occasion to improve your investing skills, discover new investment opportunities in the Canadian microcap space and network with likeminded investors.

The evening will start with an educational presentation from a guest speaker, Jacques Bonneau, a smart investor who has more than 40 years of experience in the mining sector. He will share his investment criteria and philosophy with us and then three companies from the space, Midland Exploration Inc. (TSX Venture: MD), Sama Graphite Inc. (TSX Venture: SRG) and Sama Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: SME), will present.

The presenting companies have been hand-picked by smart investors in our network based on the attractiveness of their business model, market opportunity and fundamentals.

Expert speaker: Jacques Bonneau, geologist and consultant

Short bio: Jacques Bonneau graduated from Laval University with an engineering degree in geology and holds a master’s degree in science from the same university. He has more than 40 years of experience in mining exploration and development.

Mr. Bonneau served with Soquem, Falconbridge Copper and the Vior-Mazarin Group. Over the years, he has been actively involved in the acquisition, discovery or reactivation of numerous projects and mineral deposits and in the development of companies involved in industrial minerals and exploration. From 1994 to 2003, he was President of Mazarin Inc. and in 2004 he became President of Sequoia Minerals Inc., which employed more than 300 people prior to its merger with Cambior Inc. on July 1, 2004.

Since 2004, Mr. Bonneau has been a consultant for various major and junior mining companies, a special advisor for flow-through funds, a natural resource investor and mentor. He also gives lectures on investing in the natural resources sector, specifically about how to invest in junior exploration companies.

His views and advice have appeared in numerous financial publications in Quebec, including several articles in Les Affaires.
